67 organisations have now volunteered to take part in MRBA Week, when the sector’s independent charity hopes to raise £10,000, as well as increasing awareness of how they can help researchers in need.

Speaking at the launch event for Champions nominated by the participating companies, MRBA Week Chair Sue Robson said, “The MRBA Provides a financial lifeline to those who find themselves in need through illness, accident and bereavement. As little as £100 can make a difference by buying a week’s food for a family who have fallen on hard times, so anything people can raise is welcome.”

MRBA Week Champions at the event revealed a variety of activities would be taking place between 19 and 23 October, from cake sales and quiz nights to sponsored runs and raffles.
