Thanks to everyone who participated or came to support the 18th MRS 5-a-side football tournament at Hanwell Town FC on Sunday 3 July.

In glorious weather, 34 teams took part (27 male and 7 female). Football was simultaneously fun and feisty but always played within the rules, with only one yellow card throughout.

Deserved winners in the male event were Nunwood Leeds for the second year running, narrowly beating 2CV 1-0 in a well-fought final.

The female event was run on a league basis, with Hall & Partners Pink Ladies emerging victorious, eventually finishing a few points clear of last year’s winners ABA.

Everyone enjoyed the day and, thanks to the very British 'summer' weather, nobody got get sunburnt! Same time and place next year…
