The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) is the UK's premier business lobbying organisation. They provide a voice for more than 240,000 companies on a national and international level of every size and in every sector. Their membership in the South West reflects the economic profile of the region, including major aerospace manufacturers, financial and professional services, growing mid caps and a diverse range of smaller firms. Their policy work prioritises environmental issues, employment, transport and innovation.

In this session organised by MRS South West, the CBI’s Assistant Regional Director for the South West and Wales will brief on the vast amounts of data they collect, where it comes from and how it is used.

The evening event in Bristol will start at 6.30 and the briefing will be followed by drinks and a chance to network with other researchers in the region.
