RESEARCH 2004
At the 2004 MRS Annual Conference the 'Not all Black and White' session
won the Best Contribution to Conference Award. The Award was presented
to Anjul Sharma who organised the session. The session included:
- Introduction by Anjul Sharma
- Guest speaker Anjna Rehaja (Managing Director, Media Moguls)
- 'Dreaming of the Global Future', a paper on media, culture and
identity issues - Christine Roberts (Inclusivity Consultant, COI Communications),
Philly Desai (Director, Turnstone) and Karen Roberts (Director, Connect)
- Debate 'This House Believes the Bennetton Effect has Gone Too Far'
- Proposers: Victoria Brooks (Fallon) and Alicia Clegg (Freelance
Journalist), Opposers: Alex Maule (Synovate) and Stephen Davis (Rank
Hovis McDougall)
- Think Piece 'Melting pot or melt down - living in the year 2020
in multi-cultural Britain' - Louise Ellerton (Jigsaw Guides). Louise
was short-listed for the Conference Best Newcomer Award for this piece.
