Finding ethnic minority research suppliersMRS and the ERN cannot recommend suppliers, but a good starting point to identify bona fide potential suppliers is the MRS The Research Buyers Guide (RBG) online at www.theresearchbuyersguide.com. You can search on expert areas - ethnic minorities to generate a list of agencies and consultants who offer ethnic research and use the bulletin board to post details of your project/enquiry. Access to the Guide and the bulletin board is free for all, but you will need a password to access the search facility. If you are not an MRS member you can set up a password direct from the site. To be included in the RBG, agencies must employ at least one Full Member of MRS which ensures compliance with the MRS Code of Conduct. However, ethnic research is a complex area, and to find the right supplier for your project you will need to sift further by asking the right questions and talking to others with experience of working in this area. Other resourceswww.multicultural.co.uk - provides practical information on working with ethnic minorities and faith communities. |
