General Insurance Market Research Association (GIMRA)


GIMRA is a special interest group within the Association of Users of Research Agencies (AURA).

From a base of seven founding companies membership has grown quickly and members now account for more than 95% of general UK insurance premiums.

GIMRA has six main objectives:

  • To communicate and promote the value of market research within the general insurance industry.
  • To optimise the value of research results and to collaborate on market research projects to avoid duplication.
  • To be a forum for exchange of information and expertise on market research and intelligence.
  • To be a forum for external agency presentations and assessment.
  • To liaise with financial research organisations including industry bodies.
  • To encourage and facilitate training and development.
