March

Announcing our special Spring event on Wednesday 24 March at London's Park Plaza Riverbank:

R-Net and Research Conferences invite you to enter. . . . . . .

RESEARCH DRAGONS' DEN

As the climax to Research 2010: The Annual Conference, up-and-coming and established researchers will be given five minutes to pitch their ideas for a new company that responds to a specific issue in the industry or uses a research tool to maximize value. Only the most innovative and original approaches to research will secure approval and the investment of the shrewd would-be investors – John Kearon, BrainJuicer • Andy Dexter, Truth Marketing Strategies • Karl Chapman, Adviser Plus • Janja Božic Marolt, Mediana • Oliver Rothchild, AB Entertainment.

The session would ordinarily only be open to paying delegates at Research 2010 but this year we are pleased to invite you to join the audience for free and to stay on to network and mingle with some of the industry's key players at the exclusive closing drinks reception.

This is a great opportunity to attend an event you might not ordinarily have access to - and at no cost to you or your company!

Date: Wednesday 24 March 2010
Venue: Park Plaza Riverbank, 18 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TJ
Dragons’ Den: 4.00pm to 5.30pm
Drinks reception: 5.30pm to 7.30pm

FULLY BOOKED

This event replaces the traditional R-Net Spring Social.

From the shortlist of the 2009 Research Awards Customer Insights category.........we bring you Crowd DNA's much-applauded WoM case study for Guardian News & Media

WORD OF MOUTH

Perfect people, having perfect conversations, making perfect recommendations. If only it were that simple! Now regarded not only as a motivation to try a brand but also as a measure of advertising impact, word of mouth has become an advertising discipline in its own right – with the objective being to create conversations around brands. But how do you identify those most likely to talk about your brands and to influence others?

Crowd DNA’s work on word of mouth for Guardian News & Media was shortlisted in the New Consumer Insights category at the Research Awards 2009. This is your chance to hear Crowd DNA Managing Director Andy Crysell present their findings in a case study the judges praised for its innovation and multidisciplinary approach.

Date: Monday 17 May 2010
Venue: MRS, 15 Northburgh St, London EC1

Speakers and Sponsors wanted!

As well as providing social and learning opportunities for developing researchers themselves, R-Net is also a great chance for the wider research community to communicate with its young professionals. If you would like to speak, or nominate someone to speak, at an R-Net event, or suggest a theme for a meeting please contact the steering group on rnet@mrs.org.uk with your suggestions. We are also always looking for potential sponsors to support the group.
