The focus of the MRS Advanced Certificate is on the development of understanding of both key principles and ‘real world’ research practice, and on the application of this understanding to research problems.

The learning outcomes for the qualification cover the 8 elements outlined below:

  4. Planning and conducting qualitative research
  5. Planning and conducting quantitative research
  6. Designing instruments for gathering data
  7. Analysing data
  8. Reporting research findings
