MRS Accredited Masters DegreesMRS offers a system for the accreditation of Masters degrees in market or social research. Students who are awarded an accredited Masters degree by following one of these accredited programmes meet the qualification requirement for Full Membership of the MRS. (In order to qualify for Full Membership, however, candidates must also meet the three-year experience requirement.) As part of this scheme, MRS offers a prize, awarded annually, to the best dissertation by a student studying on an MRS accredited Masters programme.
The award is sponsored by RS Consulting Group. The winner of the prize will be invited to attend the prestigious Research Excellence & Effectiveness Awards where they will be presented with the award. The winner of the 2007 Prize is Susan Edwards-Aisuebeogun. The following masters degrees are accredited by MRS: MA in Market Research (top-up for new MRS Diploma in Market & Social Research Practice to Masters level) MA in Market Research by Learning Contract (suitable for holders of the pre 2006 MRS Diploma who wish to upgrade to Masters level) MSc in Strategic Marketing MSc in Strategic Marketing MA Applied Social and Market Research MRS cannot contact accredited centres on the behalf of applicants. All enquiries about courses, including fees, enrolment and course commencement dates should be directed to the accredited centre.
