Objective

This course enables you to:

  • identify and understand key issues for commercial and social research targeting ethnic communities in the UK.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, delegates should have an understanding of:

  • the demographic data needed to identify target groups
  • key considerations when starting to research different communities
  • the potential barriers to researching different communities and how to overcome these
  • key issues in ethnic minority research such as:
    • sampling
    • language
    • methodologies
    • moderation
    • questionnaire design

This course will explore qualitative and quantitative aspects, as well as clientside perspectives, through presentations and case studies.
