Miles Jupp, new host of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, presents this year’s MRS Awards on 7 December.

The Perrier Award-nominated comedian, known to many for his roles in The Thick of It and Rev (and to many more as Archie the Inventor in CBeebies’ Balamory), as well as his contributions to Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You, will announce the winners of all 22 competitive categories plus the MRS Grand Prix at new venue Supernova London.

“We’re delighted that the Awards Dinner has found such a glamourous new home,” says Jane Frost, Chief Executive of MRS. “The event just keeps growing and growing, and Supernova gives us the space to really put on a show in a setting and with a menu that I think our guests will love.”

“Over 800 tickets have already been sold, including tables for the BBC, Channel 4, Tesco, Twitter and Unilever, who are all nominated for awards. It truly is the biggest networking event in our sector, a great night of celebration and should not be missed. I am told excitement about the bling and what to wear is reaching fever pitch in many quarters!”

John Gambles, Chairman of the event’s Principal Sponsor Quadrangle, says "The MRS Awards are a celebration of all that is good about our industry. We at Quadrangle are proud to continue our support for this wonderful event and congratulate all the nominees on being recognised for the quality of their work."
