The Scottish comedian, who has just been revealed as the latest contestant to join this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up, presents the ceremony when it returns to Supernova London on 4 December.

A finalist for the BBC New Comedy Awards and prestigious Funny Women competition, Susan is known to many for her frequent appearances on The News Quiz, Just A Minute and The Unbelievable Truth, as well as roles in Rab C Nesbit and BBC3’s cult sitcom How Not To Live Your life.

“We’re delighted to have Susan at the helm of our most fabulous event,” says Jane Frost, Chief Executive of MRS. “It gets bigger and bling-ier every year and I love that the sector see it as an opportunity to celebrate the culmination of their achievements and let their hair down – though I’m sure a feisty Glaswegian ex-barrister will keep them in line!”

Nearly 900 guests attended in 2016, making it the biggest single social event in the UK research calendar, and saw Hall & Partners and Circle Research collect the Best Agency trophies, as well as awards for Penguin Random House, The Football Association, BBC Global News, the Home Office and Unilever amongst others.

Finalists for the MRS Awards 2017 will be announced in October. More information about the event, including details of how to book tickets, can be found here.
