Despite the challenges over the past few years, the insights sector continues to surprise and delight us all with its passion for innovation and we look forward to coming together to celebrate the best work and the best talent that our sector has to offer.

At Cint we continue to devote ourselves to the digital transformation of the sector. In a world in which data and robust insights are more important than ever, we benefit from access to a leading global consumer network. And, at a time when advancements in technology and the acceleration of digital transformation have pushed businesses to embrace new ways of collecting information, we make it easier, faster and more efficient; allowing more time for analysis, storytelling and making quicker decisions.

And so, as technology continues to change the face of research, we must all continue to future-proof our sector, helping businesses to grow despite - and sometimes even because of - the challenges in our way.

The sector has witnessed wide-scale disruption and consolidation – as illustrated when we welcomed Lucid to the Cint family earlier this year – in a deal designed to deliver even more speed, scale and effectiveness to research and insights professionals. After all, it’s clear that, today more than ever, businesses need to be agile. To this end, we need both automation and human talent, whilst removing some of the more manual and time-consuming tasks. Over the past months and years, the market research, data and insights sector has had to pivot and innovate like never before. In many instances, this has created exciting new opportunities - with technology acting as a differentiator and a catalyst for progress.

The road ahead is unlikely to be easy. Tragically, we see continued war in Europe as well as significant economic uncertainty. But the companies which receive MRS Awards this year have all succeeded despite enormous challenges and in the face of ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainty.

But this sector, like many others, also faces a war on talent. We must take care of one another. Excellence requires passionate, talented and committed people and, as we strive for continued innovation, it’s important to take the time to celebrate these individuals, too. We look forward to celebrating those who have continued to champion progress even in the face of difficulty, helping to satisfy the growing demand for high-quality insights and delivering unprecedented value.

After all, the research sector gives a voice to consumers and remains vital to a healthy economy. Insights lie at the heart of all well-informed decisions. It is our joint mission to continue to acquire knowledge, at scale, in order to inform decision-making.

The MRS Awards recognise and reward this excellence and we hope you will join us as we celebrate success. We are looking forward to seeing a number of you on 5 December!

The MRS Awards 2022 take place at Old Billingsgate in London on 5 December. Book your ticket here.
