Presentation Delivery Skills

Presentation Delivery Skills

Increase skills and confidence to deliver the best presentations

In a nutshell

Dates
  • Friday, 23 February 2018
  • Thursday, 21 June 2018
  • Thursday, 11 October 2018

Summary
Ours is a ‘people’ business. The presentation is normally the key point of face-to-face contact with the client or stakeholder and therefore should provide an ideal opportunity to add value, make an impact & build relationships.

This highly practical, hands-on workshop enables participants to develop & refine their presentation delivery skills, providing a unique opportunity to practice in a ‘safe’ environment where only constructive feedback is allowed.

Attendance numbers will be strictly limited to give each participant the opportunity to ‘stand and deliver’ several times, as well as to review their recorded performance supported by tailored, one-to-one coaching and feedback from the course tutor. There will also be a very small amount of pre-course preparation.

Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will have analysed and improved their face-to-face communication style, increasing both their capability and confidence in delivering effective, engaging and memorable presentations and debriefs.

The main aims of the workshop are to help participants to:

  • define and deliver the essence of an effective, client-focused presentation
  • present research findings & insights that focus on the key client / stakeholder issues
  • understand the importance of body language and voice to an effectively delivered presentation
  • acquire techniques to overcome nerves & handle questions
  • effectively deliver a presentation that they have not personally designed or prepared
  • practice & experiment in a totally safe environment
  • analyse personal strengths and development needs
  • recognise and develop their own unique presentation delivery style, that builds on, and leverages, their own personality

Topics

  • Presentation Delivery – do’s and don’ts
  • Personal impact – Delivering the ‘wow’ factor
  • The Importance of Body & Voice
  • The Seven States of Tension
  • Preparing Yourself & Clarifying your Story
  • Getting up on Your Feet & ‘Standing & Delivering’
  • Seeing for Yourself – reviewing one’s recorded performance
  • Overcoming Nerves
  • Answering Questions

Who will benefit?
Anyone, regardless of seniority or expertise, who would like to improve their personal impact when delivering presentations. The workshop is suitable for both ‘beginners’ & the more experienced who are looking for an ‘MOT’ to sense-check and critique their current effectiveness.
