Real and valuable support for a key touch-point with clients

Overview & Objective

To develop business with either existing or new clients, it is crucial to be able to create compelling, inspiring and, most importantly, winning proposals and pitches. It’s no good being a great research agency if you can’t convince clients to commission you to conduct research. This interactive, hands-on workshop will give all participants an opportunity to critique their current efforts and identify where quick but tangible improvements can be made, so as to improve their chances of business success.

Learning outcomes

On completion, delegates will:

  • Have analysed what makes a good proposal or pitch, and what doesn’t...
  • Be equipped with a strategic framework & practical tools for analysing the client’s world, their business & thus their key knowledge needs
  • Understand the crucial importance of planning & preparation
  • Appreciate the need to question & challenge briefs, assumptions & the status quo
  • Be familiar with the techniques of problem-solving & brainstorming
  • Have mastered the logistical ‘hygiene factors’ for creating effective proposals & pitches, and be able to deliver the ‘wow’ factor
  • Considered the importance of presentation & design to ‘making it look good’
  • Be able to better connect to the client on an emotional as well as cerebral or technical level
  • Understand the difference between ‘cost’, ‘price’ & ‘value’
  • Be able to deliver proposals & pitches that have a confident point of view, a compelling story and so can ‘pass the elevator test’
  • Have greater personal confidence in creating effective proposals & pitches
Who will benefit?

All those, whether from client or agency, who need to create presentations that make a positive difference to the success of both the business & the ongoing client-supplier relationship. The workshop is a great kick-start for those who are newly required to deliver in this crucial area, but also serves as a very useful ‘MOT’ for those who are more experienced.
