I hope you all took a well-deserved break in August, because we’re now officially ‘back to school’ with one of our busiest and most exciting weeks of the year.

MRS Training starts up again, with lessons on insight-driven innovation, how to win proposals and pitches and creating the perfect presentation.

We’ve had a fantastic response to our inaugural Luxury Research Conference, which takes place on Wednesday. Delegates are attending from Aquascutum, Aston Martin and Jimmy Choo, so this is a must for any agency interested in working with exclusive brands. I’m also delighted that we’ve just confirmed Jan Gooding, Aviva’s Group Brand Director, as a keynote speaker for November’s Financial Services Research Conference, where she’ll challenge research to support her priorities.

The Oppies are back on Thursday, where I’ll have the pleasure of announcing the winners of our awards for the brilliant operations people who keep the sector running. This is turning out to be one of the liveliest events in our calendar!

We've got plenty happening outside London too. I’ll be up in Salford on Tuesday for our Best of Impact event, showcasing some of the award-winning content from March’s Annual Conference; the MRS South West Network are holding a presentation on what clients really want in Bristol on Wednesday; and the first of our RAS Consultations takes place in Manchester on Thursday.

There’s something there for everybody, so please get involved. I look forward to hearing how you all got on over a glass of wine at the AGM on 24 September.
