Members or Certified Members can apply to be mentored. Selection criteria is based on availability of mentors, location, match and assessed needs. As part of the application process and you will be asked to watch the webinar below and read through the Mentee Handbook. This will help you understand the process, set your objectives and determine your goals.

Before embarking on your mentoring journey, now is a good opportunity to think about what you would like to get out of the experience, whether it is to develop a new skill, a different approach to an element of your role or guidance on working towards the next step in your career. Although, for the sake of clarity, the scheme is not designed to provide any technical training, shadowing or business support.

Please complete the brief questionnaire below to give your Mentor a better understanding of your experience and what you hope to gain from the programme. With a limited number of mentors available your application will be assessed alongside other mentees looking for a match. Please be thoughtful and detailed in your responses .

Our trained mentors give their time freely in order to give back to a profession. If you are selected as a mentee, you will be expected to respond to their communications in a timely manner, schedule meetings that work for both you and your mentor, complete a session record form after each meeting, and be engaged fully for the mentoring term.

The mentoring scheme is now open for applications, the deadline for all applications is 23 April 2024

Mentee Declaration

I confirm that, to the best of my knowledge, the information given on this form is correct. I have read and understand the Guidelines of the Mentoring Scheme as detailed in the Mentee Handbook.

MRS agrees to facilitate a mentoring scheme through the voluntary and non-compulsory introduction of parties, and provision of a suggested non obligatory framework within which to conduct a mentoring relationship.

MRS takes reasonable steps to ensure the quality and accuracy of the information provided to the parties during the mentoring scheme but MRS, will not be responsible for the suitability of the introductions or the framework nor of the completeness or accuracy of any information whether provided by MRS or by a third party.

Further, MRS and its employees will not be responsible for the success or otherwise of any mentoring partnership or relationship, nor any loss, damage, cost, expenses or claims for compensation howsoever arising from the performance or non-performance of the mentoring relationship. Except in respect of death or personal injury cause by MRS’s negligence, MRS shall not be liable to any mentor or mentee by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent) for any indirect, special or consequential loss or any other loss however caused under the mentoring scheme.
