Research Live Award

Business Impact of the Year

This award recognises a client or organisation that is using research to make a real and lasting impact on their business and operations.

We welcome joint entries that celebrate partnerships between clients and agencies, as well as direct entries from client organisations.

To win it, you will need to demonstrate how research has played a major role in shaping business-critical aspects of operations. It could relate to practical structural and operational aspects of your business and / or its overall corporate direction. Alternatively, it could focus on (but is not restricted to) research impact on:

• the way that you communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders

• the way in which you develop new products

• your approach to sales and customer satisfaction or

• the way in which you attract and retain membership, funding, sponsorship or other forms of support

Judges will look for:

• effective incorporation of the evidence gained from research into business/operational strategy

• evidence that the research has made a positive impact on the business in terms of reformed business practice and / or changes in company culture/attitudes

• evidence of how research helped deliver bottom-line improvements in the organisation

• the reach of the impact within the entire organisation

• the positive impact of research on customers and stakeholders
