The Market Research Benevolent Association has launched its first MRBA Week to spread awareness of what they can do for researchers in need and raise funds so they can help more people.

MRBA Week will run from 19-23 October and companies are being asked to nominate an ‘MRBA Champion’ from their staff who will help spread information about MRBA to their colleagues and organise a fundraising activity during the week.

MRBA Committee Member Linda Henshall explains, “Our Helping Researchers in Need Fundraising Week is intended to raise the MRBA’s profile across the industry and particularly amongst younger researchers who might need our services one day. But we also want this Week’s focus to encourage more agencies, fieldwork companies, independents, consultancies, telephone research agencies, online panel companies and industry groups as well as their employees to understand and appreciate what we do and the services we provide to the industry as well as encourage more of them to support us.”

Over twenty companies have already agreed to take part, doing everything from coffee and cake sales to sports days, quizzes and casino nights. Champions will be invited to a launch meeting at MRS on 13 July to discuss their ideas and the Week itself will kick off with a launch party in Central London on 19 October.

If you would like to get involved contact Linda Henshall or visit the MRBA website.
