The winners of the sector's 21st annual B2B conference, which was held at the May Fair Hotel on 30 June, were announced at the closing drinks reception.

Before the trophies were given out, the conference committee made a special presentation to Trevor Wilkinson, who was stepping down as Chair of BIG after five years and who had made many contributions to the conference in that time.

JUDGES' SPECIAL AWARD FOR PROVOCATIVE THINKING
This discretionary award was given to the stand-out contribution made by the Powering business decision-making session, chaired by Sinead Jefferies of Chime Insight & Engagement and featuring a panel of Corrine Moy (GfK NOP), Jon Puleston (Lightspeed GMI), and Colin Strong (Verve).

BEST OVERALL CONTRIBUTION TO CONFERENCE
This award was given to Alex Johnston of Jigsaw Research and the Turning a nation of shopkeepers into a nation of market researchers session for encouraging collaboration and promoting research among the business community.

BEST PRESENTER
The judges felt there were some strong finalists for this award but, with commendations to the joint presentation by Vincent Lenne (C Space) and Adrian Mulligan (Elsevier), as well as Alex Johnston, they chose Samantha Bond (Northstar) and Janneke Dobben (Great Western Railway) for Facing the frontline: how B2E insight galvanised Great Western Railway.
