    Winners and Finalists 2009

The winner was announced and the awards presented at the Research Awards 2009 held on Monday 14 December at the Lancaster London.

    Winner

    QSR for NVivo 8

    QSR

    What the judges said:

QSR's NVivo 8 enables multimedia and web-based content to be more easily analysed through linking and annotating individual sections of images, audio and video. The data, along with other project sources, is then available for analysis and reporting using the sophisticated analysis, visualisation, collaboration and charting features.

NVivo 8 offers great promise in the automation of project management of qualitative research projects. Nvivo8's multimedia handling has been adopted widely and enthusiastically by its user community.

    Finalists

Cint for Cint Automated Tracker (CAT)

    What the judges said:

CAT enables users of Cint’s Panel Exchange to automate the management of survey-invitations to panellists. Users simply enter their quota requirements and leave the system to work the rest out and report on progress. Small batches of sample are invited and the system adapts to the response rates of each group, increasing or decreasing the invitation rate as necessary, resulting in a spread of participation over the fieldwork period. The system successfully removes much of the need for manual intervention in the process, saving significant project management time.
