In addition, progression through the membership grades matches career experience signifying the achievement of advanced skills, knowledge and ability. The main professional grade of Full Member and its MMRS designation carry a guarantee of competence, which is recognised by employers, colleagues, clients and others inside and outside the market research community.

To support the achievement of Full Member status individuals can complete a recognised qualification such as the MRS Diploma or an Accredited Masters Degree.
