As part of the research sector’s drive on inclusivity and diversity, MRS is facilitating an employer led Trailblazer group to develop an Apprenticeship in Market Research. An apprenticeship is key to opening-up the sector to a more diverse mixture of people, and as an alternative route to the traditional model of graduate entry.

The Trailblazer group is representative of a wide range of employers, who are committed to being actively involved in the development of the Apprenticeship Standards, deciding which knowledge, skills and behaviours apprentices will require to ensure they are able to contribute and grow within the research profession.

The Trailblazer Group comprising 14 employers, has worked for the last 9 months developing an Occupational Profile, the first stage in the development of an Apprenticeship in Market Research. Following the submission of the Occupational Profile approval was received from the Institute of Apprenticeships & Technical Education for the group to now proceed with the development of a Market Research Executive Apprenticeship (Level 4) for the sector.

If your organisation is interested in joining the Trailblazer Group and passionate for the sector to be more inclusive then please contact louise.maycock@ipsos.com.

The apprenticeship is expected to launch toward the end of 2020.
