MRS is collaborating with Daughters of Sailors on a new research project which is investigating the increase in employment vacancies, and the resulting resourcing challenges, throughout the research and insight supply chain.

MRS Main Board member and Chair Designate Sinead Jefferies CMRS is working with Daughters of Sailors, and a small group of volunteers from the Independent Consultants Group (ICG) who will be undertaking some qualitative interviews with five key groups to understand the causes and effects of the current shortages.  The groups are:

  • HR managers and those with responsibility for employment recruitment
  • Business owners, CEOs and MDs
  • Associate Directors/Directors/Senior Directors and equivalents
  • Research Executives/Senior Research Executives/Research Managers
  • Executives who have left the sector in the last 18 months

As part of this project, particularly in our conversations with business owners, we want to determine the overall cost to business including the longer-term effects of the shortages.

We will shortly be issuing invitations to participate in the research.  The qualitative depth interviews will take between 30-45 minutes and will be conducted in accordance with the MRS Code of Conduct. Once complete, the top-line aggregate results from the research will be shared with MRS members and MRS Company Partners.

If you are selected, we hope you can support this very important research.  In the meantime, if you have any questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact MRS Managing Director Debrah Harding.
