Introduced in 2024 Honorary Posthumous Fellowships are awarded to individuals who in the opinion of the Main Board have rendered in the past exceptional services to the Society, or MRS Members, or the Profession and were not nominated for Fellowship or Honorary Fellowship during their lifetime.
This year MRS is awarding Honorary Posthumous Fellowships to the following.
Maurice is recognised for his pioneering contribution to market research as co-founder of Millward Brown in the early 1970’s. The company became a global leader in advertising and brand research, helping to pioneer continuous tracking and rigorous measurement and prediction of TV advertising performance, shaping the development of advertising effectiveness research as a core discipline across the profession. He also played an important role in the early development of RSMB, contributing methodological guidance at a critical stage in its formation.
He was a Certified member at the time of his passing.

Denise is recognised for her outstanding service to the UK media research profession over more than three decades. In her final role as IPA Media Research Director, she led the TouchPoints initiative and represented the IPA across the major UK media research currencies. Previously she held senior roles in agencies and industry bodies including Havas Media, Newsworks and Route, where she was Chief Executive. Denise was a recognised authority on communications effectiveness, a published author and frequent conference speaker, and a strong advocate for women in media.
