If you like to learn new things, meet new people, (and perhaps have the odd glass of wine), then our book club is for you. Launched in early 2023, we vote on and select a different book each quarter and then gather at MRS HQ to meet, mingle and discuss our chosen books.

Don’t worry – we know you’re busy. So, the main aim of the &more Book Club is to give young researchers a space to meet, connect and discuss new ideas. We won’t be forcing you to read hefty tomes and if you don’t finish the book in time? Well, it’s not a disaster – we’d still love to see you and hear your thoughts on the bits you did have time to read!

For our next meeting, we’ll be reading Atomic Habits by James Clear.

So, grab yourself a copy and get reading, but don’t forget to click the orange ‘Book Now’ button to reserve your spot at the next meet up.

Oh, and the first rule of Book Club is you CAN talk about Book Club. If you have colleagues that would like to join, please feel free to pass this info on and they can drop an email to melissa.coghlan@mrs.org.uk if they have any queries.

We look forward to seeing you at &more Book Club for cosy book chats, drinks and nibbles.

*Please note, this event is for members of &more only. Each booking reserves one place for you only – it is not possible to do multiple bookings online. If you have colleagues who meet the &more criteria (under 30 or within the first 5 years of their research career) who are not yet &more members, they can join the network first here and then book onto the event. If you have any queries, please email melissa.coghlan@mrs.org.uk
