In 2019 and again 2020 research agency Opinium, supported by MRS, launched the results of research into mental wellbeing in the sector. The initial report revealed that 85% of practitioners had struggled with their mental wellbeing in the previous 12 months. While the 2020 survey showed some progress with more professionals reporing that they felt comfortable speaking about their mental wellbeing with their colleagues – with 57% of survey participants having told someone at work about a mental health struggle, compared with 36% in 2019.

This year, given the ongoing changes to working patterns in the sector during the pandemic, MRS and Opinium have again teamed up to conduct the Mental Wellbeing in Market Research survey.
