In July 2019 insight agency Opinium, supported by MRS, launched the results of research into mental wellbeing in the sector. The report ‘Opening the Conversation: Mental Wellbeing in Market Research’ revealed that 85% of practitioners had struggled with their mental wellbeing, to varying degrees, in the previous 12 months.

In 2020, given the background of the global pandemic, MRS and Opinium have teamed up to again conduct the Mental Wellbeing in Market Research survey. Sign up to this webinar to hear Sophie Holland from Opinium reveal the results of the 2020 survey, which with additional questions relating the pandemic, show how wellbeing levels have changed in the against a backdrop of Covid-19.

Stuart McNicholas is an experienced trainer who has designed and delivered mental health and wellbeing courses for a number of organisations. His background is in Human Resources and has worked in several sectors including the University of the Arts London and the regional press.  He first got interested in mental health when he started volunteering as a Samaritan and is now a listening volunteer and a member of the training team of Central London Samaritans. This led to exploring how mental health and wellbeing can be supported in the workplace and mental health first aid.

Sophie heads up Opinium’s mental health research team. Sophie worked on last year’s report ‘Opening the Conversation: Mental Wellbeing in Market Research’ and also mental wellbeing reports across other sectors. She is also Head of Wellbeing internally at Opinium, supporting the mental wellbeing of all her colleagues and implementing support initiatives. She is passionate about improving the conversation around wellbeing, as mental health is something we all have and should look after.
