Thanks to host UM, MRSpride will be holding a second event on 24 October for LGBTQ+ professionals and their allies working in research, insight and analytics.

We have curated a selection of research speakers and role models whose inspirational stories of giving a voice to the LGBTQ+ community will educate and energise discussion, featuring: 

18:30 – welcome remarks from Michael Brown, Chair of MRSpride and Michael Brown, the founding Chair of MRSpride and Partner, Insight & Cross-Culture at UM

18:35 – performance by poet Jay Hulme

18:45 – keynote from Michael Brunt, publisher and COO of The Economist

18:55 – Giving a voice to the LGBTQ+ community by Michelle Fan, Senior Strategist - Semiotics at Flamingo

19:10 – Can’t Pass It On campaign development and evaluation by Taku Mukiwa, Head of Social Marketing Programmes at Terrence Higgins Trust

19:25 – Transforming perceptions of transgender people by Sarah Christie, Associate Director at Magenta Research and Jo Shaw, The Josephine Shaw Partnership and Consultant Strategist to On Road Media

MRSpride is open to MRS members, staff of Company Partners, and anyone within the research and marketing sectors interested in learning from and enhancing the experiences of LGBTQ+ colleagues and developing opportunities for professional networking.

Booking: attendance is free but space is limited and expected to fill up very quickly, so booking is essential. Contact networking@mrs.org.uk to reserve your place. Bookings will only be accepted from individuals who email directly, you can not book or hold places for others.
