Speaking to kids and teens is ‘an art’ – getting it right isn’t as easy as you might think! If you don’t do it right you might find yourself with all sorts of problems.
These two webinar sessions will give you an insight into researching with children and young people and look at some of the main dos and don’ts within qualitative research, to ensure you do it right – and within MRS guidelines!
Delivered in 2 parts, each part will have a slide presentation of around 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes for Q&A.
Anyone using qualitative research techniques and wanting to expand their reach, along with those who would like to understand the practicalities of researching an increasingly important sector. This is ideal in adding skills to existing moderating capability.
Part 1 – takes you through ‘the nuts and bolts’ of researching with kids and teenagers
Part 2 – looks briefly at the developmental stages from 3 yrs old up to 16 yrs old, as well as some of the ‘what ifs’ that might happen when researching with kids and teens and help you start to get together your ‘tool kit’ of ways to deal with numerous situations and a chance to ask questions!
