MRS Code of Conduct – Key Changes Consultation

Join Julie Corney from the MRS Standards Team to discuss the key changes of the MRS Code of Conduct that will affect your role. You will be invited to participate in the consultation process and have your say.

The coverage of the MRS Code of Conduct has been broadened in scope to meet and promote participant rights and protect the reputation of research conducted by accredited persons.

The code reflects the new data protection framework, digital technology and the underlining construct of respecting the rights of research participants, including:

  • Data analytics activities
  •  Coverage of all activities of member whether engaged in research or non-research activities
  • Clarity on prohibited activities such as selling under the guise of research
  • Recognition of the range of lawful bases for collection of primary data or further us of personal data for secondary purposes.

The revised Code has been designed to improve readability and usability with important changes to style and presentation to assist the user experience.

The meeting will be held in the 4th floor training suite at MRS, 15 Northburgh Street, London EC1V 0JR. A map is available below.
