Full-service social and market research agency IFF Research won the  award of Best Operational Excellence in 2020, following a migration from a traditional phone room set-up to a fully home-working model.

Encompassing 1,100 interviewers at its peak, delivering some of the largest surveys in the UK, the benefits of this structure included seamless transition during the pandemic and the ability to scale effectively.

Their Operations Director, Rob Irving, will be describing the transition which helped the agency record performance in 2019/20.

Rob has worked at IFF for over two decades and has held various positions within the operations teams, before taking on the role of Operations Director in 2017. During that time, Rob has helped IFF manage significant operational change, moving from a 120 booth CATI phone room in Shoreditch, to overseeing potentially the largest virtual telephone interviewing panel in the UK. In turn, helping IFF to scale significantly and deliver record financial performance.
