Recent research reveals that the insight sector has unusually high levels of employees struggling with their mental wellbeing. Opening the Conversation is a joint event run by MRS and Opinium to explore and better understand wellbeing issues in our industry.
In July research agency Opinium, supported by MRS, launched the results of research into mental wellbeing. The report ‘Opening the conversation: mental wellbeing in market research’ showed that, while 53% of workers in the UK say they have had issues with their mental wellbeing, an alarming 85% of market researchers report that they have struggled in the past year. With 77% of admitting that this had affected their work.
With levels this high, Opinium and MRS are hosting an event to look at the underlying reasons, identify who is most susceptible and debate how employers can address this. The event will start with a presentation of the research, followed by an expert panel with representatives from across the sector giving their personal stories and solutions – as well as an expert on mental health in the workplace.
Copies of the full research report will be available on the evening. Read a summary of the research results on Research-Live.com
