The Market Research Society (MRS) can confirm that SBXL is an MRS Company Partner and as such is required to undertake its professional business activities in accordance with the MRS Code of Conduct.

In light of the material contained in the media report, and in the absence of a formal complaint, MRS sought clarification from SBXL about the facts and circumstances which gave rise to the media report. MRS is reviewing the information supplied by SBXL to determine whether its practices are in accordance with the MRS Code of Conduct. Once this initial review is complete MRS will determine whether it intends to take any further action regarding SBXL’s activities.

Should a formal complaint be received by MRS regarding the activities of any MRS Company Partner organisation or MRS individual member, the MRS Standards Department would consider the substance of any complaint and, if there were potentially breaches of the MRS Code, it would pass any complaints onto the MRS Market Research Standards Board for investigation.

MRS reminds members that the MRS Code of Conduct covers informed consent under sections 16-19.
