Your MRS needs you!

There’s a definite ‘back to school’ feeling in the office this week, with our newly refurbished in-house training suite opening for the Autumn season and the team getting the ball rolling on lots of projects after the summer break.

Input from our members is crucial of course and there are no shortage of opportunities for you to help us shape the sector, build your own brand or give something back in the coming months.

We’d like this year’s MRS/AQR Graduate Roadshow to be our biggest yet. If you think you can inspire the next generation of researchers to enter the field, please put yourself forward to speak at one of these fantastic events – and do connect us with your own universities if you think they could be incubating the new talent the sector needs.

Our Mentoring Scheme is now open for a fresh intake of mentees and we’re always looking for mentors. I’d particularly like to see more senior client-side insight professionals taking part.

There are important vacancies to fill on the Executive Editorial Board of the International Journal of Market Research and as examiners for the MRS Diploma. These roles really are about influencing the way we teach and share best practise and will be incredibly rewarding for the right candidates.

Finally, we always want to give you the best possible platforms to share your stories of research excellence. We’re looking for presentations for two great events for those working in data analytics – the ADAN Innovation Symposium and the Data Analytics & Insight Conference. We’re also looking for speakers for our ever popular Kids & Youth Research Conference as well as our 2019 series of Speaker Evenings. And last, but far from least, is the Call for Contributions to Impact 2019, our Annual Conference.

With inclusivity at the forefront of my thoughts, I want to encourage those of you who have hesitated in putting yourselves forward before to think seriously about getting your voice heard. If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
