Join us for an insightful event where we delve into the Global Data Quality Pledge and MRS Campaign for Better Data, all aimed at elevating the standards of data quality across the industry. Explore the various challenges Operations organisations face in maintaining high data quality and how they are tackling these. Discover the practical tools and strategies they have designed to help their organisations improve the integrity of their data.

Speakers:

  • Debrah Harding: Managing Director at MRS, will provide an overview of the Global Data Quality Initiative and MRS Campaign for Better Data
  • Industry Experts will share their insights and experiences in addressing data quality challenges
    • Chris Stevens, Consultant (formally Kantar): Will discuss the complexities of the Sample Ecosystem along with an audit project on the effectiveness of data quality checks.
    • Rebecca Cole, Cobalt Sky and Joanna Price, Kantar: Will present the Data Feedback Loop Pilot Scheme, jointly developed by the MRS Data Quality Group and SampleCon.
    • Liz Diez, Acumen Fieldwork: Will share research findings and best practice guidance developed by the MRS Data Quality Group, addressing the data quality challenges within qualitative research.

This will be followed by a panel session of shared experiences and approaches.

Rebecca Cole is Managing Director of Cobalt Sky, an award-winning market research operations company specialising in online data collection and data processing. She joined Cobalt Sky as a graduate in 2006 and is a highly experienced web scripter and quantum programmer. As well as being on the main board of the MRS, Rebecca chairs the MRS Representation in Research steering group and has spent over 10 years on the board of the Association for Survey Computing (ASC) which she now co-chairs.

Jo Price is the Research Methods Consultant at Kantar Insights UK. Jo has 25+ years’ experience as a Research Operations expert and has a specialist focus on understanding how best practice sample & survey design influences high quality data.

Debrah is responsible for all MRS operations and leads the Society’s standards, policy and public affairs activities. Debrah graduated from Southampton University in the early 90’s with an honours degree in Geography.

She first worked in accountancy and then moved to the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) in 1994. After working in auditing and compliance for ABC, she joined the management of MRS in 1999 to establish a new Standards and Policy department.

Debrah is the co-author (with Peter Jackson) of the book, Quality in Market Research: from Theory to Practice and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
