In response to the unease around the country at the moment, MRS Social Equity Group (#SEG) are putting on a webinar drawing on recent research to help us understand what is driving sentiment, and the impact on marginalised communities.

We will hear from:

  • Steven Lacey, The Outsiders, who will talk through the rise of the far right over the last decade, and the impact of distrust in government and disinformation drawing on recent research with audiences such as far right activists and conspiracy theorists
  • TBC, Angelou Centre, who work with marginalised communities will share the findings from their research 'Why Do I have to Hide Away' which documents the impact of the 2024 far right riots on Black, 
    minoritised and migrant women and children
  • Annabelle Phillips, AP Research, will share recently findings among the disenfranchised working class 
    who are turning to Reform and working class people of colour and explore how their reactions to recent events
