Learn how to transform insight into effective and engaging videos

This course is now delivered online as a series of live sessions which fully meet the learning objectives of face-to-face training.

Storytelling has become one of the hottest topics in market research. Video helps to bring insight, data and stories to life with maximum impact and is becoming one of the most effective ways to engage research buyers and other stakeholders. As well as distilling information, video has the unique ability to gather those ‘aha’ moments from qualitative research and give more meaning to quantitative data.

In this workshop, visual insight expert and award-winning filmmaker Paul McGhie demonstrates the art of combining narrative and visuals, taking your story or insight and transforming it into a professional and engaging short video – on the tightest budget possible within shortest timeframes. You’ll be doing plenty of hands-on work, learning how to produce, shoot and edit videos as part of your final report to stakeholders using smart tech you already own.

The course aims to share techniques that are concise, informative, visually arresting and create the kind of impact that leaves stakeholders wanting more. You will have all the instructive steps you need to put insights and information together to create video, without making massive creative leaps, and will leave with a finished template you can use time and again.

Learning how to shoot, edit and make videos is a fantastic transferable skill, the principles of which you can apply for marketing and other endeavours.
