MRS South West find out how multi-screening changes TV viewing.

The way we watch TV has changed dramatically, with the growth of multi-channel and now multi-platform choice, DTR’s, more and better screens, and now the growth in ‘multi-screening’ (using a smartphone, laptop etc. whilst watching TV). Each of these changes has affected our viewing and has raised questions about how they impact our relationship with TV programmes and ads.

Thinkbox is the marketing body for commercial TV: they are a leading sponsor of original research on TV viewing, and in 2012 they commissioned COG Research to carry out a major study on how we now watch TV and in particular how multi-screening affects our viewing behaviours.

In this Award-winning study, Rob Ellis uses a mix of ethnographic observation through CCTV video recording and digital self-reporting, lab testing and computer analysis of video records, qualitative and quantitative research to provide reliable evidence of behaviour, attention, memory and consumer beliefs and attitudes.

Join MRS South West in Cardiff for a presentation that will shed much needed light on a key, rapidly growing but little researched area of opportunity.

Time: The presentation will start at 6.30pm and will be followed by wine and time for networking.
