The MRS Flex Forum invites you to join this interactive online panel discussion to hear about their flexible working experiences and share ideas to help create a fairer, more productive workplace in today’s society.

The MRS FLEX Forum is a collection of industry professionals passionate about flexible working.

The conversation around flexible working seems to have been fast forwarded about 5 years since lockdown was implemented. Whilst it is a shame that it has taken a pandemic to recognise that blended working can work and has significant benefits, we need to use this information in our return to work plans. To take the benefits and discuss the challenges to create a happy, harmonious, and productive workforce.

We have a fantastic panel of people from the MRS Flex Forum lined up to share their experiences and approaches to flexible working:

Tash Walker, Founder, The Mix. Tash founded qualitative agency The Mix, in 2012. The Mix introduced a 4 day week, working Monday to Thursday, for all staff on full pay, in 2017. As a result the agency have seen a range of benefits, including increased staff wellbeing, reduced sick days and all whilst doubling turnover and seeing an increase in profits.

Annie Auerbach, Co- Founder, Starling, a cultural insight agency. Annie Auerbach is also an author, her book FLEX: The Modern Woman's Handbook is a revolutionary guide to living and working on your own terms. Annie is proud to be named a 2019 Timewise Power Founder on #timewisepower50 alongside a range of flex working trailblazers who are changing the future of work.

Sinéad Jefferies, Strategic Insight Consult and MRS Board Member,  is a senior board-director level insight specialist and a passionate champion for flexible working and was proud to be included on the Timewise Power Part Time list 2017. She has lived in rural France for the last five years, working for a London-based agency as well as freelancing, and is making it work!

Colin Butcher, Head of Data, 2CV. Himself an ‘agile worker’, he fully appreciates the need for a flexible working environment to help all employees manage the evolving demands and pressures of modern life.

Susanne Lindner, Director, Customer Success - Global Key Accounts, Lucid. Susanne has been working in the market research industry for more than 10 years. Over the years, she has hired and managed teams in various countries, time zones, multiple languages and cultural backgrounds. As Lucid continues to evolve, she is now focused on global clients and how technology solutions can impact their day to day work.

The panel is chaired by Inger Christensen, who has worked a 4 day week since 2006 and as a recruiter has seen the issue radically increase importance for candidates when making career decisions.

This will be an interactive panel event where we hope for engagement from the viewers, sharing challenges and working out how we can best work together in making MR more flexible. Viewers will be on mute to listen to the panellists initially but will have the opportunity to then speak individually.

This event is free to MRS Members and MRS Company Partner Employees, with a fee of £25 + VAT for non-members/non-company partners.

Inger has worked - flexibly - in research operations since a student covering CATI training, recruitment and QA. In 2006 she joined RPCushing (now Aspire) as a specialist MR recruiter, particularly enjoying candidate development.
Taking this skill further, in 2009 she transitioned into career consultancy, on a DWP contract, followed by a project with flexible working specialist TimeWise.
In 2013 she helped launch Hannelius Recruitment, and was their Talent Manager until summer 2019. Now freelance, Inger wants to contribute to sharing and growing knowledge across the MR industry.

Inger is keen to support the practicalities of flexible working, and organised the Operations Network flexible working panel in January 2020, out of which the Flex Forum grew.
