Summary Objectives:        
Leadership is arguably the biggest challenge for, and hottest topic in, business today.  A Google search produces nearly 6 billion results for the word!  Leadership is particularly crucial in the research and insight world, where our sole source of any product or profit are our people, and where change is a constant.  But what is ‘leadership’ and who are ‘leaders’?  This interactive, highly pragmatic workshop will give all participants an opportunity to improve their own leadership ability by finding their own definition of ‘leadership’ given their specific role, organisation and people.  It will enable all to drive the implementation of their organisation’s strategy through learning how to lead their own engaged, focused and high-performance teams.

Learning Outcomes:          
By the end of this course delegates will:

  • Have critiqued their own leadership style and skills, understanding & defining ‘why should anyone be led by you?’;
  • Appreciate the range of leadership styles and skills within their personal armoury;
  • Have considered the difference, and similarities, between leaders & managers;
  • Appreciate the importance of emotional intelligence, two-way communication, trust & influencing skills to effective leadership;
  • Have developed a clear, focused & articulated personal vision, so as then to communicate it effectively to their people;

  • Know how to harness team energy so as to drive optimum performance towards a common cause;
  • Have developed greater confidence so as to display bold & agile leadership, particularly during times of change;
  • Identify their own strengths & areas for improvement as leaders, so leaving with a concrete action plan that will have a tangible, positive impact on their own performance & that of their team.
