Increase your skills and confidence to deliver the best presentations

This course is now delivered online as a series of live sessions which fully meet the learning objectives of face-to-face training.

In a ‘people’ business, presentations are a key point of face-to-face contact. They provide an ideal opportunity to make an impact and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

In this practical workshop, participants will develop and refine presentation skills, practising in an environment where only constructive feedback is allowed. You will analyse and improve your face-to-face communication style and increase your skills and confidence in delivering effective and engaging presentations and debriefs.

Attendance numbers are limited to give each person the opportunity to ‘stand and deliver’ several times, as well as to review recorded presentations with the support of one-to-one coaching and feedback from the course tutor. There is a small amount of pre-course preparation.

Learning outcomes
  • Define the essence of an effective, client-focused presentation
  • Present research findings and insights that focus on clients’ and stakeholders’ issues
  • Understand the importance of body language and voice in an effective presentation
  • Prepare yourself, clarify your story and deliver the ‘wow’ factor
  • Acquire techniques to overcome nerves and handle questions – including the Seven States of Tension
  • Deliver a presentation you have not personally prepared
  • Analyse personal strengths and development needs
  • Recognise and develop your own presentation style that builds on and leverages your personality
Who would benefit

Anyone, regardless of seniority or expertise, who would like to improve their personal impact when delivering presentations. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced professionals who want to review and critique their current effectiveness.
