Certified MRS Membership Mark

As a Certified member you can download and use the Membership Mark to demonstrate your professional membership of MRS. 

Designed to prove your expertise to colleagues and customers, the new Certified Membership Mark can be downloaded here and used on your LinkedIn profile, business cards, CV and email signature proving that you're a recognised member of MRS.

All members sign up the MRS Code of Conduct. The new Membership Mark is proof of your adherence to the highest professional standards in research as stipulated in the Code. 

The Certified Membership Mark is updated annually in January. You will need to download the latest version each year to display the correct date.

Guidelines for Use
As an individual member of MRS you can use the MRS Certified Membership Mark in the following communications to signal that you are an active member of MRS:

• Email signature
• Sole Traders/Independent researchers only – Company Website
• LinkedIn page
• Business card
• Headed paper

You are not permitted to use the Membership Mark if you are not a Member of MRS. If you do not renew your membership you must remove the Membership Mark and supporting statement from all of your materials. 

Supporting statement
The following statement can also be used in conjunction with the Membership Mark. This personal statement shows your commitment as member of MRS to abide by the Code of Conduct and demonstrates your commitment to research excellence.

“As a Member of MRS I agree to abide by the MRS Code of Conduct”

The Dos

• Hyperlink the Membership Mark to https://www.mrs.org.uk/about when used in email signatures and website bios.
• Keep the size of the Membership Mark to a minimum of 12mm (width) to ensure it is always legible.
• Keep at least 2mm of free space around the Membership Mark. This is the space no other elements may intrude on (eg. type, graphic elements or the edge of the page or screen).
• Use the standard grey version of the Membership Mark when applying to a white background, online or print.

The Don'ts

• Do not alter any of elements the Membership Mark.
• Do not distort it.
• Do not use it within text.
• Do not use any other colourways, other than those provided.
• Do not try to re-create the Membership Mark.
• Do not share the Membership Mark with third parties.

LinkedIn
The Membership Mark has a dedicated LinkedIn page so that you can demonstrate your professional status on LinkedIn. By connecting with this page, in the Education section of your profile, you can display the MRS Membership Mark and reinforce your adherence to the highest professional standards of research practice as stipulated in the MRS Code of Conduct. You also have the option to highlight details of any qualifications or training you have undertaken with MRS.

To add the Mark, navigate to the Education section of your profile and click the + icon. Type ‘The Market Research Society’ into the School field and select the top result. You will see the Membership Mark as the icon. You can then complete any relevant fields. 

Please note: You are not permitted to use the Membership Mark to connect your profile with this page if you are not a Member of MRS.
