Find out why sector leaders have signed their organisations up the MRS Net Zero Pledge

Ben Page, Chief Executive of Ipsos MORI, says: “Ipsos MORI is proud to have signed up to deliver on plans to cut carbon emissions – it’s vital that we are part of the solution. As well as researching in depth public attitudes to the massive changes that will be needed in the next twenty years, we have to push ourselves to make a difference.”

James Endersby, Chief Executive of Opinium, comments: “We’re thrilled to sign up to the MRS NetZero Pledge. Not only will we now have a framework to steer ourselves towards net zero well before 2026, but we’re excited to continue to share our thought leadership and learnings with an increasingly engaged group of fellow agencies.”

Adam Overell, Vice President of Logistics and Projects at Behaviorally, says: “As experts in the principles of behavioral science, we know that a public, overt commitment to a goal is often a key driver to action. Hence, our unequivocal support for MRS’ NetZero Pledge.”

Viki Cooke, Founding Partner and Joint Chair of BritainThinks, comments: “Climate change is the existential crisis of our time and our commitment to becoming net zero reflects the team’s passion about the issue. It is also a pledge that enlightened clients and partners will soon be demanding.”

Mark Langsfeld, CEO of mTab says: “Climate change is a global problem and it needs innovation and leadership to solve it. mTab is proud to be a founding signatory to the MRS NetZero Pledge and fully endorse the aim to get our industry to net zero by 2026.”

Nick Bonney, Founder of Deep Blue Thinking, summarises: “We offset carbon emissions on business travel and support Project Aware and The Manta Trust. However, we can do more and making a public commitment to sustainability felt like a logical next step. We’re delighted that MRS is taking a stance on such an important issue.”

Jem Fawcus, Group CEO of Firefish says: It is important that every sector, contributes to reducing emissions. The pledge provides a framework to take action. As a sector we also need to get our house in order; this will add to our credibility to help our clients develop their own responses to the climate crisis.”

Sinead Jeffries, Founder of Vela, says: “Being more sustainable and aiming for Net Zero emissions has to be an ambition for everyone. It's very easy to look at big business and say that it's up to them to change. This pledge is important to me as it gives me something to hold myself accountable to.”

Caroline Wren, Managing Director of MTM says: “MTM is pleased to be a part of the NetZero initiative and grateful to MRS for providing a framework to take this vital step forward. At MTM we pledge to do our part to learn, adapt, win hearts and minds, make different decisions, and reach that goal within 5 years. In turn we hope to be able to play our part to help others with their NetZero journeys – both within the research industry and more broadly, as MTM staff grow their confidence in supporting sustainable initiatives outside of our work lives too.”

Matt Hay, CEO of Bulbshare says: "We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to be a founding signatory to the MRS NetZero Pledge. Bulbshare works with communities of citizens across the globe - many of whom will be hardest hit by the impacts of climate change. It's critical that businesses of all sizes play their part in minimising their carbon footprint and creating a more sustainable future for all."
