Under the INSPIRE Directive the European Commission has established a community geo-portal for the Member States to provide links and access to their wide ranging geo-spatial "infrastructures" as well as through any access points the States themselves decide to operate (GKB includes entries for geoportals in France, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Scandinavian countries). The site is explored and navigated through a 'discovery viewer', and is in English and other community languages, but national material is usually in the language(s) of the Member State. Géoportail is a comprehensive on-line service of the French government with maps and high resolution aerial photography from more than 90 sources for France, freely available as open data. The service, first developed by two public agencies (IGN and BRGM), was launched in 2006 and progressively updated and extended (see 'Actualites'). Geoportail has IGN topographical maps together with administrative, cadastral (land parcel), building survey, and transport maps, plus more specialised maps such as public utilities, hydrography, weather, geology, and land use. There are also historic maps of France, and much more. All maps including the aerial photography may be combined and viewed in transparent layers controlled by the user. All maps can be zoomed and scrolled. Place names are identified and searchable for the smallest villages and physical locations. The site, in French only, is designed for users to drill down into content and comprehensive supporting information on the maps and original sources.
MB-Research provides market data and digital boundaries at small scale for many countries worldwide. This includes a purchasing power metric at small area level for the whole of Europe. This report is the first of two publications summarising the results of Ireland's 2011 census. This first one, This is Ireland - Part 1, looks at overall population change by county; it also examines age, marriage, households and families as well as including first results on nationality, foreign languages, the Irish language, religion and housing. Regiodata provides regional economic data for Austria and eleven Eastern European countries. Access to the query portal - the Geomarketing Portal - is available through the site with free registration and then a charge per query. Information available includes economic data, purchase power indices, market potential estimates and regional population data. The site is written in the German language.
The website of a partially EU-funded project to develop a set of digital boundary data for the countries of central and eastern Europe. The project is still at an early stage but online data provision will probably be possible in 2001. CroStat acts as a one-stop access point to the latest official Croatian demographic statistics.
The 2021 census is scheduled to be conducted to record the situation at midnight on 31 March 2021. The field work will be conducted between 1 April and 7 May. Citizens will have the opportunity to complete the census form online on their own between 1and 10 after which date census takers will visit those households that have not completed the online survey.

The GSOEP is similar in many ways to the British Household Panel Survey. Since 1984, this project has carried out a longitudinal study of around 6,000 households and is truly multipurpose in scope, covering topics from health to household composition. National Records of Scotland (NRS), formerly the General Register Office for Scotland (GROS), is part of the devolved Scottish Administration. It is responsible for the Census and the registration of births, marriages, and deaths. It also publishes information about population and households, and is the main source of family history records.
The National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic (NSC) is the central statistical office of the country.
